Wannabe School Conquerors "Huizarosa" (Playground bullies)Remember CD 14 CM Jose Huizar was President of LAUSD School Board, back in it’s heyday. Just kidding. It wasn’t a “heyday”. It was a real, giant mess. (As is now so very apparent.)
Well in the cast of muppets (where Eli Broad is Jim Henson), Mayor Antonio Villaraiogosa is Kermit, and Huizar would be Grover, and current LAUSD Board President Monica Garcia would be Ernie.
Well Jim Henson decided this new season, Kermit tries to take over the elementary schools on Sesame Street and surrounding areas. So he has his…ALRIGHT…F*CK THIS SESAME STREET ANALOGY!
Mayor Antonio already paid for majority control of the school board, and they voted former Jose Huizar Chief of Staff Monica Garcia the new LAUSD school board President (as I’m sure you have heard).
And like it, or not…Lil’ Weezy can’t break out from under Mayor Antonio’s shadow, so he’s gotta help his “boss” with the “heist”, like it, or not. (And Weezy probably likes it, cause control of the school board adds to CM power. (And Scarface already told us, how money and power are all tied in together.)
And you may have read that Amy Cooper just resigned as Huizar’s deputy to work for Monica Garcia! Although the initial take was, “Employee #16 bites the dust at Huizar’s office, this year.” ZD feels he was being too harsh on Jose, making it seems like he has high turnover cause he is a real “A-hole” to work for and can’t run a CM office.
It’s because when you have an illegally-shady mayor, no-backbone shitty council and a bought and sold-out mayoral backed school board trying skim off as much of the $20 billion dollar construction budget (and appease all their cronies/part-time cafeteria workers unions) – you need an “under the wire” facilitator, who knows the ropes of shadiness and can call in the plays to the rookie school board president from the former quarterback, turned coach (Huizar). And to make matters worse…you have O.J. as G.M. of the team. (Villaraigosa…not that Antonio was ever booked on murder charges, like O.J. He’s just a socio-path like O.J.) Guess football analogies worked better than the muppets.
NEXT ON “AS THE LAUSD SCHOOL BOARD TURNS”: Where’s the “Audit Oversight Committee”. Hope it wasn’t a typo. I was just looking over all the new committees for this year’s school season, and I didn’t see the “Audit Committee”. That’s the ONLY committee the INSPECTOR GENERAL sits on. And that means, that’s the only way he’s gonna be able to sit in on LAUSD school board meetings.
I saw the “Committee As Whole”, “Budget”, “Facilities” (the one they don’t the IG in on), “saftey”, but the secretary who typed up the list must have left the “Audit Committee”. And that’s the committee the Inspector General sits in on. WE HAVE ALL HEARD OF THE INSPECTOR GENERAL RECENTLY, HAVEN’T WE!?!? (See $5 million a month LAUSD credit card scandal.) And you may have heard Zuma Dogg use the term, “Inspector General” a hundred, or more times on the radio, tv and blogs as it relates to LAUSD and the $20 billion school facilities budget.
And I warned you Monica Garcia would/already did have him banned from meetings earlier this season. And now this! I just have one question Mayor Antonio Villaraiogsa, Former LAUSD School Board President/Current CM Jose Huizar and Monica Garcia:
IF THE INSPECTOR GENERAL IS THERE TO INVESTIGATE/UNCOVER FRAUD, WASTE AND ABUSE…WHY WOULD YOU KILL THE ONLY COMMITTEE HE HIS ON, AND KEEP HIM OUT OF THE PROCESS.
IF YOU ARE TRYING TO FIX THE SCHOOLS – AND ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT KIDS AND THE FUTURE: WOULDN’T THE FIRST THING YOU WOULD WANT TO DO IS MAKE SURE MILLIONS AND BILLIONS AREN’T BEING STOLEN OUT THE BACK DOOR???
In the case of VillarGarcia-Huizar, I guess not. So Amy Cooper: Good luck! That’s a lot of weight to carry on your shoulders. THE QUESTION ZD IS NOW WONDERING: Amy, when you left Garcetti’s office to work for Huizar, was it simply to groom you for your new position as liason/facilitator between Huizar and Garcia?
SUMMARY: Amy Cooper resigned from CM Huizar’s office after only a few months, not because Huizar is a bad leader, who is impossible to work for, and doesn’t know how to run and office, let alone a distict: But because Monica Garcia is the rookie QB for Villaraigosa’s team, and so Huizar has been sent to the field to call the shots. And Amy Cooper is the walkie-talkie.
